PATRICK GRAY

Research Technician, Harvard University

Patrick is currently a Research Technician at Harvard University in the Girguis Lab. With a background in Computer Science, broad experience in space systems, and a passion for fieldwork Patrick is now diving into ocean exploration with the goal of bridging the ocean and space exploration communities and working to solve the diverse yet surprisingly similar challenges faced in these two extreme environments.

Previously Chief Technology Officer at WayPaver Foundation, Patrick now serves on the Foundation’s advisory council. Having served for three years as the Alumni Coordinator for Students for the Exploration and Development of Space he is an avid supported of SEDS and their mission to empower young people to make an impact in space exploration. Patrick previously worked at Moon Express as a Software Engineer developing their ground data systems and engineering team tools. Before that Patrick was working with Chapel Hill based startup incubator The 1789 Venture Lab.

Patrick graduated from the University of North Carolina as a Morehead-Cain Scholar with a degree in Computer Science where he founded UNC SEDS, co-founded the Sigma Phi Society, and researched computer vision in humanoid robotics.
